Wild Wild West: Region Rally 2026

Saddle up for Wild Wild West: Region Rally 2026 — a Scouts‑level lightweight camping weekend packed with frontier challenges, outlaw cook‑offs, and Wild West spirit. Patrols of 5-8 Scouts and Guides will take on bushcraft, teamwork, and problem‑solving bases, earn points for creativity and grit, and cook their own Saturday night feast.

Northern Rivers Joey Cub Water Fun Day

Join us at Pop Denison Park, Shaws Bay, for a fun‑filled day of picnicking, games, and paddling in a clean, calm, flat‑water environment. Joeys and Cubs will enjoy water-based land activities, along with a session of canoeing and swimming.

Lightweight Hiking Experience

Two night overnight hiking experience. Suitable for Scouts and Ventures who can walk 10km per day and carry a loaded back pack approx 20% of thier body weight.

Scouts go back this week

Scouts and Venturers return on Tuesday 10th of February and Joeys and Cubs return on Wednesday the 11th of February. Remember to wear enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle. We hope you are all ready for a year full of fun and adventure.

Grafton Canoe Regatta

Registrations open for Splashdown - Grafton Canoe Regatta - 07-09 Nov 2025 Are you keen to learn canoeing skills?  Or participate in a canoe journey?  Choose your own adventure! This camp is designed to develop Scout's and Venturer's  canoe skills - water safety, paddling strokes and deep-water rescue techniques etc, in line with requirements for OAS Paddling Level 1-4.  As well as the opportunity to plan and participate in a journey (STA).

RASOREE - Region All Sections Camp

Registrations are open. Rasoree is a two-night regional Scout camp for all Sections - from Joeys through to Rovers—hosted by North Coast Region. This year’s theme, “The 80s Mixtape,” brings retro flair, exciting activities, and the opportunity to participate in JOTA-JOTI, the world’s largest digital and radio Scouting event. Big Thank You to Alex and Adon from Civil Mining & Construction Pty Ltd

A Big Thank You, to Alex and Adon from Civil Mining & Construction Pty Ltd who donated 2 brand new 3x3m gazebos to the Murwillumbah Scout Group last night. Part of the company's "Thirst for a Legacy" program. The donation is much appreciated and will come in very handy keeping our youth and adult members under cover at our camp this weekend.
